How To Teach Your Child To Read before Starting School?

Are you a parent of young child, age 2, 3 or 4 and would like to teach your child to read before starting school? Do you like to improve your children’s reading skill even if they are already at school? If your answer is yes to at one of the question you landed in the right page.

If you want to teach your child to read, you need to start to do this at home when they are very young.

I am not here to explain how you can teach your child to read instead I am going to tell you about a program and a book that I used to teach my son who is going to start school in this September to read.

I am neither a native English speaker nor fluent in English, I am from Srilanka and now live in UK. If you are reading this you probably already knew that from my writing, I can’t even pronounce some word properly (Thanks for Google) yet. If I can teach my four year old son to read you can definitely do that with a little help from someone who already did it.

The program that helped me to teach my kid to read is “ Children Learning Reading” by Jim, a father of four children who taught his children to read before they reached three years old.

I started to teach him to read in January 2016, I am only half way through the program. I am also using a book, “The Reading Lesson: Teach Your Child to Read in 20 Easy Lessons” that I Bought it from Amazon, He has already read up to lesson 8.
